Which Coverage Applies? Comprehensive vs Collision

Comprehensive vs Collision-Auto
Covering your vehicle for damage-they differ in how they do it.
The first major difference to understand is under what circumstance
each type of coverage helps pay for the cost of damage to your vehicle.

Comprehensive Coverage:  now formally known as 'Other than collision',
covers losses against your vehicle that come from non-collision events,
such as hailstorms, fire, theft, vandalism, or hitting an animal.

Collision Coverage:   addresses loss to your vehicle incurred in an accident,
where your car hit another car, or an object like a guardrail, retaining wall or tree.
